How we test and score WinSpirit
This site reviews one casino, so the method has to be stricter than usual: no figure without a source and a date, no score without a published scale, and a plain list of what has not been done yet.
Where figures come from
Every number on this site is read on WinSpirit's own pages: the homepage, the bonus page, the app page and the en-AU footer. Each reading carries the date it was made, and the Sources block at the end of each page links to the exact page. When the operator changes a term, the page here is updated and the "last checked" date moves; the "published" date does not.
We do not quote other review sites as fact. Where we mention a complaint portal, we say which one, what it showed and on which day, and we do not turn its score into ours.
What we test on phones
Two devices: an Android 11 phone from 2020 and a current iPhone. On each we record what the site does when opened in the default browser, what it offers to install, every permission prompt, and how the installed web app behaves for login, cashier and games. We read the permission lists on third-party download pages but do not install their files.
The cashier test
A cashier test means a real deposit of $50 to $100, a verification pass and a withdrawal, each step timestamped and screenshotted. Until that test is done for WinSpirit, every duration on this site is the operator's own statement, and the author block on each page says so under "Not done yet". When the test is done, the durations become ours, with dates.
The five criteria and the scale
The scale is relative. In each criterion, the best casino we have read for Australian players sets 10, and every other casino is scored against it; the site's own subject is always scored on the same terms, never inflated because the site is about it. The overall score is the mean of the five, rounded to one decimal. It is one editor's score, not an aggregate of user ratings, and it is never marked up as one.
What a commission does not change
We may earn a commission when a reader opens WinSpirit through our links. The score, the order of information, the "Against" list and the "Not done yet" line are written before any commercial arrangement is considered and are not edited for it. The disclosure page has the detail.
